The Netzwerk für Kommunalismus (Network for Communalism) aims to bring ideas of communalism, social ecology, libertarian municipalism and democratic confederalism into social movement discourses in several German-speaking countries. They want to bring politics back to the people, so that all members of society are able to discuss and decide on their coexistence, and view social ecology as helping to build an alternative to capitalist society by analyzing the deep-rooted hierarchies that underlie it. They are an open and grassroots democratic grouping in the German-speaking world, currently a loose union of individuals who are active in a variety of movements.
