Blair Taylor is program director of the ISE, which he has has been involved since attending as a student in 2000. He writes extensively about social movements and critical theory, co-editing the Murray Bookchin anthology The Next Revolution: Popular Assemblies and the Promise of Direct Democracy (2015). He holds a PhD in politics from the New School for Social Research, his dissertation focused on recuperation and neoanarchism via the case studies of the alterglobalization and Occupy Wall Street movements. He lives near Seattle and is active with West Sound Democratic Socialists of America.
