Blair Taylor has been involved with the Institute for Social Ecology since 2000, serving as faculty and board member, program director from 2016-2022, and co-editor of Harbinger: A Journal of Social Ecology. He completed his PhD in politics at the New School for Social Research in 2017; his research focuses on social movements, the far right, political ecology, antisemitism, and capitalism. He co-edited the Murray Bookchin anthology The Next Revolution: Popular Assemblies and the Promise of Direct Democracy (Verso 2015). He lives in the Seattle area and is active in a variety of political, educational, and publishing projects.
